Aoun, UAE President discuss Lebanon and regional developments in phone call
President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, discussed with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during a phone call at noon today, the general situation in Lebanon and the region, the rapidly developing security situation in the south, as well as matters of mutual interest to both countries.
President Aoun thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed for the attention the United Arab Emirates is according to Lebanon’s needs at various levels, and for the support it is providing to help alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people during the difficult circumstances Lebanon is going through.
During the call, President Aoun also stated that the visit to Lebanon by the Emirati delegation, headed by Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, and the fruitful meetings held with Lebanese officials and business leaders, as well as the warm reception given to the Lebanese delegation that visited Abu Dhabi last week, reflect the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and lay the groundwork for further cooperation across all economic, trade, and investment sectors.
