The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
“Army units carried out security operations across various Lebanese regions, including raids, motorized patrols, and temporary checkpoints. As a result, 10 people were arrested, as follows:
• Lebanese nationals (A.Z.) and (H.S.) were arrested at the Safri checkpoint in Baalbek on charges of opening fire. A pistol, military ammunition, and a sum of counterfeit money were seized in their possession.
• Lebanese nationals (Z.S.) and (H.S.) and Syrian nationals (M.A.) and (A.A.) were arrested at the Khodr checkpoint in Baalbek for possessing a military weapon and a quantity of drugs.
• The homes of wanted individuals were raided in the town of Brital, Baalbek, where Lebanese nationals (H.W.) and (M.Y.) were arrested. Weapons, military ammunition, and a quantity of drugs were seized in their possession.
• A Palestinian national (A.A.) was arrested in the Mina area of Tripoli for involvement in an altercation that involved gunfire. A pistol and military ammunition were seized in his possession.
Following a series of security surveillance and monitoring operations, an Army unit also raided the home of Lebanese national (H.B.) in the Laylaki area of Baabda, who was wanted for drug use and trafficking. He was arrested, and a large quantity of drugs was seized in his possession.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations into the detainees were launched under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.”
