Free Patriotic Movement leader, MP Gebran Bassil, called for the judicial process into the Beirut port explosion to be completed, stressing that commemorating the victims is not enough without justice and truth.
In a post on X marking the memory of the August 4 blast, Bassil said the occasion should serve to remember the victims, the wounded and those who lost their homes and property.
Remembering alone is not enough. It is our duty to seek justice for the victims and truth for those who are still alive, Bassil said, calling for the proper judicial process to resume without being halted by what he described as fabricated judicial and political obstacles.
Enough waiting, because delayed justice is not justice, he added.
