Interior Minister Ahmad Al Hajjar said that, on the commemoration of the Beirut port explosion, Lebanon remembers the victims with the utmost respect and renews its solidarity with their families, as well as with the wounded and those affected by the blast.
He reaffirmed the ministry’s full cooperation with the judiciary to help uncover the truth and achieve justice, saying, “May the victims rest in peace and may Lebanon be protected.”
On the occasion, Brig. Gen. Sami Nassif, Secretary of the Central Internal Security Council, representing Minister Al Hajjar, laid two wreaths, one at the memorial for Beirut Fire Brigade personnel killed in the explosion and another at the memorial for General Security personnel who lost their lives in the blast, honoring their sacrifices and preserving their memory.
