Lebanon Braces for Two More Hot Days Before Relief
Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean will remain under the influence of hot air masses centered over the Arabian Peninsula, with temperatures expected to remain above seasonal averages through Wednesday, according to the Meteorological Department of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The hot spell will then ease, giving way to typical summer weather, with temperatures returning to seasonal averages on Thursday.
The department also warned against direct exposure to sunlight and the risk of wildfires in forested areas.
Weather forecast for Lebanon:
Monday: Generally partly cloudy, with temperatures remaining stable inland and dropping slightly over the mountains and along the coast. Humidity levels will rise, increasing the heat sensation, while fog is expected to form over the mountains in the evening.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy, with a slight drop in temperatures along the coast and stable temperatures over the mountains. Inland temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 39°C. Fog will form over the mountains from the afternoon onward.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, with temperatures falling back to seasonal averages. Dense fog is expected over the mountains, with winds occasionally picking up. Scattered drizzle is also expected overnight in mountainous areas.
