Berri broaches developments with Qatari, British and French ministerial delegation
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received a Qatari, French and British ministerial delegation, at the second presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh.
The delegation included Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, the French Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, Eléonore Caroit, and the UK Minister of State for International Development, Jennifer Chapman.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassadors of Qatar, the United Kingdom, and France in Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Hamish Cowell, and Hervé Magro.
The meeting addressed developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as the impact of the Israeli war on Lebanon across multiple levels, particularly humanitarian, social, health, and economic. It also discussed the issue of displaced persons and how to support Lebanon and assist it in addressing these challenges.
Separately, Speaker Berri received respectively in Ain el-Tineh, former Education Minister Judge Abbas Halabi, and then Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, former Minister Talal Arslan, in the presence of former Minister Saleh al-Gharib, the party's political council member.
The discussion reportedly covered the latest political and field developments, as well as the evolving situation in Lebanon and national affairs.
