Bassil broaches situation with Bulgarian Ambassador
Free Patriotic Movement chief, MP Gebran Bassil, received in his office Bulgarian Ambassador to Lebanon, Iassen Tomov, in the presence of MP Nicolas Sehnaoui and Rami Meneem of the FPM’s Department of Foreign and Diplomatic Relations .
The discussions reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, in addition to the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Bulgaria and ways to strengthen them at various political, economic and cultural levels.
The meeting, according to the FPM Central Media Committee, addressed the challenges facing Lebanon in the current stage, particularly the challenge of consecrating a full and complete ceasefire across all Lebanese territory, and the importance of supporting stability in southern Lebanon, in addition to discussing opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the developmental and investment fields.
