MP Hassan Fadlallah said any agreement between Iran and the United States would have direct repercussions for Lebanon, expressing confidence that Tehran would ensure Lebanese interests are considered while encouraging the Lebanese state to benefit from any resulting opportunities.
Speaking at a Hezbollah ceremony in Beirut, Fadlallah stressed that confronting Israeli attacks remains the movement’s top priority, while supporting indirect diplomacy backed by regional efforts. He reiterated Hezbollah’s rejection of direct negotiations with Israel, describing them as unconstitutional and politically unacceptable.
Fadlallah also argued that proposed ceasefire arrangements contain unacceptable concessions, insisting that resistance and steadfastness remain the only viable response to ongoing hostilities. He criticized what he described as provocative rhetoric from some Lebanese officials and called for a stronger commitment to national unity and sovereignty.
