A coalition of international and local humanitarian organizations launched a global fundraising campaign under the patronage of Lebanon’s Social Affairs Ministry and facilitated by the International Organization for Migration to support families affected by conflict, displacement and the economic crisis.
Social Affairs Minister Hanine El Sayyed said the humanitarian emergency requires a rapid and coordinated response, noting that more than 140,000 displaced families have benefited from Lebanon’s emergency social safety net program.
The initiative, titled Rooted for Lebanon, brings together Lebanese diaspora groups, international donors and NGOs including Save the Children, World Vision and CARE International to provide cash assistance and support to the most vulnerable households.
