Deputy Parliament Speaker Elias Bou Saab responded to MP Ahmad Kheir via MTV, saying: “It is unfortunate that I discover that colleague Ahmad Kheir speaks in two languages. After the phone call that brought together the Prime Minister and me, his words were praise for my role, he thanked me and said many things, and the Prime Minister is a witness to this call. Then he came to my office at the beginning of the session and said that we would all vote according to what you had reached and that this is the best possible outcome, and he thanked me. He also said he would thank me again in the media, and today I thank him for keeping his word.”
He added: “The problem is limited to adding the phrase ‘final ruling’ instead of ‘ruling,’ which other blocs informed me they do not agree to. I only manage the session, and no one forces the MPs to do anything, and Ahmad voted on everything.”
