MoPH: 9 injured at Tebnine Hospital
A statement was issued by the Media Office of the Ministry of Public Health, strongly condemning “the severe damage inflicted on Tebnine Governmental Hospital as a result of an airstrike carried out by the Israeli enemy in the vicinity of the hospital, which led to the injury of 9 people, including 7 hospital staff members, 5 of whom are women.”
The statement added that “the damages affected the hospital’s external surroundings, electrical wiring, cameras, the hospital courtyard, and the parked ambulances, in addition to damage inside the three floors of the building across various departments, especially the emergency unit, patient rooms, chemotherapy unit, intensive care, MRI, surgery, general maintenance, waiting areas, and staff accommodation rooms, where personnel work day and night due to highly dangerous security conditions, offering their most valuable sacrifices in commitment to their humanitarian mission.”
The statement asked: “Is this attack a response to the decision of the World Health Assembly, adopted by a majority of 95 votes, affirming the protection of healthcare in Lebanon?”
It concluded that this attack is “an additional link in the series of assaults that the Israeli enemy insists on carrying out, disregarding all international humanitarian law, confirming through this continued violence that it understands only the language of aggression and the systematic violation of all international laws and norms.”
