Aoun congratulates the Emir of Kuwait on Eid al-Fitr, stresses the need to halt escalation
President Joseph Aoun held a phone call with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, congratulating him on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and wishing that God would bring it back to Kuwait’s Emir, leadership, and people with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.
During the call, President Aoun denounced the attacks that Kuwait had been subjected to, considering them a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sister state, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
President Aoun also conveyed to the Emir of Kuwait the solidarity of the Lebanese people with the Kuwaiti people, condemning the involvement of partisan groups in a sabotage plan whose cells were dismantled by the Kuwaiti leadership a few days ago, noting that the Lebanese people have always stood by the State of Kuwait under all circumstances.
In turn, the Emir of Kuwait was briefed on the situation in Lebanon, condemning the Israeli attacks targeting Lebanese cities, villages, and towns, and affirming Kuwait’s solidarity with Lebanon and its people, as well as the necessity of halting escalation from any party.”
