Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh announced, following talks with President of the Republic Joseph Aoun his intention to travel to Paris to attend an extraordinary UNESCO Heritage Committee meeting focused on safeguarding Lebanon’s endangered archaeological sites amid the war.
Salameh said Lebanon will also participate in the Byblos exhibition at the Arab World Institute, using the platform to highlight the country’s needs for diplomatic and humanitarian support.
Salameh called for flexibility to facilitate a ceasefire, noting the presidential initiative remains adaptable, despite Israel not yet accepting it.
