Beirut Port Director General Marwan Naffi presented the port’s emergency response measures at the Grand Serail, affirming full readiness to support the current phase.
Since the start of the attacks on Lebanon, and under the directives of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Public Works Minister Fayez Rasamny, an emergency committee has been activated at the port, bringing together all security agencies and relevant administrations to ensure uninterrupted operations and secure supply lines for the national economy under exceptional circumstances.
He added that, in line with a ministerial decision, Beirut Port is now operating 24/7 to facilitate the movement of goods, with support from Customs. Coordination has also been established with Social Affairs Minister Hanine El Sayed and the Disaster Management Authority to prepare logistical plans for any relief operations or aid shipments arriving through the port.
