Makzoumi meets Sweden’s ambassador
MP Fouad Makzoumi met with Swedish Ambassador Tomas Brundin and wrote on the X platform: During my meeting with Swedish Ambassador Tomas Brundin, we discussed the latest local and regional developments. The meeting was also an opportunity to get acquainted and congratulate the ambassador on assuming his new post in Beirut.
I stressed the need to maintain the best possible relations between Lebanon and Sweden and to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic and trade sectors.
I also emphasized that Lebanon’s recovery is tied to restoring the state’s full authority and ensuring that arms are held exclusively by legitimate institutions, alongside implementing reforms and restoring confidence in state institutions. This would help restore the international community’s confidence in Lebanon and strengthen its support for the country.
