Menassa discusses border control with Syria’s Chargé d’Affaires
National Defense Minister, Major General Michel Menassa, received at his office in Yarzeh the Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic to Lebanon, Iyad Al-Hazzaa. The meeting focused on relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen joint coordination, particularly regarding border control and security cooperation between the relevant agencies, in a way that contributes to enhancing security and stability on both sides of the border.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the region, as well as Israel’s ongoing attacks on Lebanon and Syria and their repercussions on the security and stability of both countries.
Menassa also received Director General of General Security Major General Hassan Choucair. The two discussed the overall security situation, as well as a number of issues related to the work of the security agencies and ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation among them in the interest of the country’s security and stability.
