Minister of Information Paul Morcos received Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon, Anura Withanage, in his office at the ministry.
The discussion touched on bilateral relations and ways to enhance media cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, Ambassador Withanage said discussions focused on media cooperation between the two countries, as well as the possibility of arranging a visit for the Minister of Information and several Lebanese ministers to Sri Lanka to learn more about the country and its people.
Ambassador Withanage quoted Minister Morcos as praising the Sri Lankan community in Lebanon and commending its contribution to the Lebanese economy.
Minister Morcos also received a delegation from the National Anti-Corruption Commission, comprising Judge Dr. Therese Allawi and Dr. Joe Maalouf, accompanied by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) representative Omar Kabboul.
The delegation invited the Minister of Information to participate in the International Day for Universal Access to Information, which is aligned with the Convention on Combating Corruption in the Public Sector and is scheduled to take place on September 28.
