Berri leads a series of metings
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received the Head of the Lebanese Press Editors' Syndicate, Joseph Kossaifi, at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh.
The discussion reportedly touched on the general situation and the new media law.
Kossaifi presented Speaker Berri with the Editors Syndicate's observations on the legislation, as well as the amendments proposed by the Lebanese Press Federation.
Speaker Berri also received the new Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Tomas Brundin, who came on a protocol visit upon assuming his new diplomatic mission in the country .
The visit provided an opportunity to review the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as bilateral relations between Lebanon and Sweden.
Separately, Speaker Berri reviewed the general situation, the latest political and field developments in the South, and national affairs with Vice President of the Islamic Supreme Shiite Council, Allama Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib.
