Aoun in Rome… Is Another Round of Talks on the Horizon?
President Joseph Aoun is visiting the Vatican to meet Pope Leo XIV, carrying with him the complex realities of southern Lebanon.
Aoun briefed the Pope on the latest developments in Lebanon, particularly the ongoing Israeli escalation and the U.S.-mediated negotiation process between Lebanon and Israel. The visit comes at a sensitive time for Lebanon, as the country needs all possible international efforts to help end the war.
