Haykal: Efforts to Implement the Framework Agreement Are Ongoing
Lebanese Army Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, met with former U.S. ambassador and president of the American Task Force on Lebanon (ATFL) Edward Gabriel, along with members of the organization’s board, at his office in Yarzeh, where they discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
The meeting included an in-depth discussion of the army’s missions and the challenges it is currently facing. Gabriel praised the sacrifices of Lebanese military personnel and stressed the army’s important role in maintaining security and stability in the country.
For his part, General Haykal reaffirmed that the army would continue carrying out all tasks related to the framework agreement within its available capabilities, while Israeli forces continue their attacks and violations of the understandings established under the agreement.
