Berri leads a series of meetings
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh the Director General of Customs Gracia Azzi, who briefed him on the work of the directorate across its various departments.
Speaker Berri also received Grand Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, with whom he discussed general developments, political and field updates, and national affairs.
Berri later received a delegation from the Beirut Municipal Council, headed by Ibrahim Zeidan, in the presence of Development and Liberation Bloc MP Mohammad Khawaja.
The meeting addressed general affairs, particularly development-related issues, as well as the municipal council’s work programs for the coming period, especially the projects to be implemented.
Following the meeting, Beirut Municipal Council President Ibrahim Zeidan said: Our visit to Speaker Nabih Berri was aimed at briefing him on the Beirut Municipal Council’s work plans and programs, as well as its achievements over the past year.
