Aoun: Reconstruction Will Be Led by the State
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun told Canadian Minister of State for International Development Randeep Sarai that Lebanon welcomes Canadian support to help facilitate the return of southerners to their villages and provide them with housing, particularly in the villages and towns destroyed by Israel.
President Aoun said that reconstruction will be undertaken by the Lebanese state following the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the deployment of the Lebanese Army up to the international border.
For his part, the Canadian Minister affirmed his country’s commitment to Lebanon’s stability, strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, and activating joint programs.
