Israeli escalation and Lebanon’s future discussed at Ain El-Tineh
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received UK National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell, at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh, in the presence of the accompanying delegation and British Ambassador to Lebanon Hamish Cowell.
Discussions reportedly focused on the general situation in Lebanon and the region, field developments in light of Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon and the south, as well as bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United Kingdom.
Speaker Berri also followed up on the latest developments and the evolving situation during his meeting with former minister George Kordahi.
The Parliament Speaker also received Lebanon’s Ambassador to France Rabih el-Chaer.
