UNIFIL: 113 Israeli Shells Fired Yesterday
UNIFIL issued the following statement:
“Peacekeepers continue to monitor daily violations of Lebanese airspace and military activities on the ground. Yesterday, UNIFIL recorded the launch of 113 projectiles by the Israeli army, the highest number recorded since June 21.
Although the intensity of violence remains significantly lower than it was in previous months, the overall situation remains fragile. Peacekeepers continue to monitor and report developments to the Security Council, maintain the pace of their operations, and engage with the parties to help reduce tensions.
Adherence to Resolution 1701, along with dialogue and coordination, remains essential to de-escalation and a key factor in restoring full stability to southern Lebanon.”
