Labor Union Chief warns Aoun of worsening workers’ conditions, urges wage reform
The General Confederation of Lebanese Workers President Bechara Al Asmar briefed President Joseph Aoun on the state of the labor movement, warning of deteriorating conditions for workers and the severe impact of Israeli attacks on the economy and labor market.
Al Asmar called for no new taxes or fees to be imposed and urged the launch of a comprehensive economic and social dialogue aimed at correcting wages, protecting workers’ rights and ensuring the continuity of businesses.
