Geagea, Maronite Bishop of Canada discuss Lebanese diaspora’s role and state-building
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea met Maronite Bishop of Canada Paul Marwan Tabet in Maarab to discuss issues concerning the Lebanese diaspora, particularly the community in Canada.
The meeting was attended by former MP Imad Wakim, the party’s Assistant Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, and Antoine Mourad, head of the office for relations with religious authorities.
According to a Lebanese Forces statement, the talks focused on matters affecting Lebanese expatriates abroad, the importance of strengthening their participation in the affairs of their homeland, and the support needed to advance the project of building a sovereign state that guarantees the rights of all its constituents.
