After Syria road accident, Salam steps in
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced in a statement that, Following the tragic disaster involving a bus carrying Lebanese pilgrims in the Daraa region of the Syrian Arab Republic, which resulted in deaths and injuries, I have tasked Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri with making the necessary contacts with the relevant Syrian authorities to follow up on the conditions of the wounded and injured and ensure that they receive the best possible medical care and treatment.
He added: I have also asked the head of the Central Operations Room at the Prime Minister’s Office, Zahi Chahine, to follow up on the incident on the ground.
