Aoun condemns Damascus bombing
President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun condemned the bombing that took place today in Damascus, considering that targeting the security of the Syrian capital at this sensitive time represents an attempt to undermine stability and disrupt the recovery path witnessed in Syria.
President Aoun expressed Lebanon’s full solidarity with Syria, its people, and its institutions in confronting all attempts to undermine its security, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. Aoun reiterated that Syria’s stability is an integral part of the stability of Lebanon and the entire region.
