Geagea to Walid Jumblatt: History moves forward, time never waits
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on X that he thanked Walid Jumblatt for his book, describing it as valuable.
Responding to Jumblatt’s reference to the armistice agreement as the foundation, Geagea noted that the agreement had indeed formed the basis of relations between Lebanon and Israel. However, he said it had been gradually abandoned and effectively sidelined since the 1960s, to the point where it no longer carries practical relevance today.
Geagea added that history does not move in reverse and that time does not wait, stressing that the focus should be on confronting present realities rather than dwelling on the past.
