Aoun chairs meeting on Customs operations
President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun chaired a meeting attended by the Head of the Higher Customs Council, Brigadier General Misbah Khalil, and Council members Charbel Khalil and Louay El Hajj Chahine.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the work of the Customs Administration and the measures being taken to enhance performance at the country's land, sea, and air border crossings, as well as on providing modern equipment to facilitate the work of the Customs enforcement authority.
President Aoun instructed that coordination among all customs units be strengthened and that permanent operational readiness be maintained to support ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and combat waste and revenue losses.
