Education ministry, donors review progress and 2026–2027 strategy
Education Minister Rima Karami chaired the regular meeting of the Trust Fund for Education (TREF) with representatives of the European Union, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France and UNICEF.
The ministry reviewed progress achieved during the 2025–2026 academic year, including student sheltering, continuity of learning, remote education, school reopening, support centers and digitalization efforts.
Karami also presented the 2026–2027 education strategy under Vision 2040, highlighting priorities including inclusive education, infrastructure, digital transformation and governance. Donors reaffirmed their readiness to support the ministry’s plans, including the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged schools.
