Aoun Congratulates Trump on 250th US Independence Anniversary, Praises Regional Stability Efforts
President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, sent a congratulatory message to US President Donald Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence, wishing him and the American people continued prosperity, progress, and success.
In his message, President Aoun emphasized the long-standing and deeply rooted relations between Lebanon and the United States, describing them as grounded in shared humanitarian and social values that have long united both nations.
He noted that these ties are once again strengthening thanks to what he described as Trump’s determination and ongoing efforts to restore security and stability in the Middle East in general, and in Lebanon in particular.
President Aoun expressed appreciation for these efforts, calling on the United States to continue supporting Lebanon’s just causes, as well as its institutions, army, and people, in order to help close a chapter marked by wars and suffering and open a new era of hope, peace, and stability.
