Mahfoud: Aoun Is a Historic Opportunity for Lebanon
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received Elie Mahfoud and a delegation from the political bureau of the Change Movement.
Following the meeting, Mahfoud described Aoun as a historic opportunity for Lebanon, calling for support for the presidency and government to continue restoring the state and rebuilding confidence at home and abroad.
He said the framework agreement represents a national achievement and a pivotal step toward restoring Lebanon as a sovereign state, rejecting campaigns targeting both the agreement and the president. Mahfoud also stressed the need to move from the logic of arms to the logic of the state and institutions.
