Hajjar, Merhebi discuss municipal reform, Akkar security
Former minister and MP Talal Merhebi, accompanied by former MP Tarek Merhebi, met Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar to discuss national, administrative and development issues.
Merhebi called for updating rural building laws and granting municipalities broader powers to facilitate legal construction permits. He also discussed the need for a modern electoral law and urged greater support for Akkar Governorate through increased security personnel, equipment and logistical resources. He praised Hajjar’s efforts, particularly in following up on security-related files.
