Information Minister Paul Morcos said that Prime Minister Nawaf Salam told ministers that his recent visit to Syria had helped advance bilateral relations and facilitate trade and customs procedures between the two countries.
Following the regular ministerial meeting at the Grand Serail, Morcos said Salam also addressed the expansion of Israeli attacks and stressed the importance of continuing to document alleged war crimes and submit them to the United Nations.
Morcos revealed that Lebanon had reached an agreement with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for a delegation to visit Lebanon in the near future to investigate alleged war crimes. He also said efforts were underway to convene a session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
