Hajjar discusses amnesty law with MP Ahmad Khair
Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar met MP Ahmad Khair to discuss the latest domestic developments, including ongoing discussions surrounding Lebanon’s proposed general amnesty law.
During the meeting, Khair briefed Hajjar on talks held over the weekend regarding the draft law, describing the discussions as positive and moving toward the adoption of a balanced amnesty framework.
Hajjar welcomed efforts to pass what he described as a balanced general amnesty law, saying it could help ease prison overcrowding while preserving justice and social stability.
