President Aoun calls on the Red Cross to rescue the two journalists being held in southern Lebanon
President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, followed up on the circumstances surrounding the detention of journalists Zainab Faraj and Amal Khalil in the town of Tayri, following Israeli shelling of the area.
President Aoun instructed the Lebanese Red Cross to work on rescuing the two journalists and their colleagues, in coordination with the Lebanese Army and international forces, in order to complete the evacuation operation as quickly as possible.
He also reiterated his call not to target media workers while they are carrying out their journalistic duties.
