Israeli Army: We Are Clearing Hezbollah Infrastructure in Lebanon
The spokesperson for the Israeli army wrote the following on X:
“The Israel Defense Forces continue to operate south of the forward defense line to locate weapons and clear infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah organization, in order to prevent a direct threat to the northern towns.
During an operation to destroy terrorist infrastructure in the area of the village of Khiam, fighters from the 769th Combat Team, operating under the 91st Division, searched a building used by the Hezbollah organization and found weapons, surveillance equipment, an RPG launcher, ammunition, and a flag belonging to the Hezbollah organization.
In the area of Beit Lif, fighters from the Nahal Brigade, operating under the 146th Division, searched buildings used by the Hezbollah organization and found inside an RPG launcher, a sniper rifle, and additional combat equipment.
During an operation by Golani reconnaissance forces in the area of Aadshit al-Qusayr, drones, warheads, military equipment, ammunition boxes, magazines, and Kalashnikov rifles were found. In an additional operation by the brigade in the area of Al-Taybeh, rockets, an RPG launcher, explosive device components, hand grenades, and ammunition were found.
The weapons that were found were intended for use in terrorist operations by the organization’s operatives against IDF forces and the citizens of the State of Israel.
The IDF will continue to operate to clear the area under its control and remove any threat to the citizens of Israel and its forces.”
