Lebanese Army units succeeded in reopening key roads linking the area of Marjeyoun to Hasbaya and Nabatieh, restoring access after Israeli airstrikes cut the region off for a day.
Israeli aircraft had targeted the vital Khardali–Nabatieh road, blocking it from both directions and isolating Marjeyoun from surrounding areas. Another strike hit the Marjeyoun–Hasbaya road, disrupting routes connecting the towns of Jdeidet Marjeyoun, Dibbine, Ibl al-Saqi, and Hasbaya, causing near-total paralysis in transportation and supply movement.
Following efforts by the Lebanese Army, supported by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the Khardali–Nabatieh road was reopened as part of a field operation to restore these strategic routes, allowing the gradual return of normal life and movement in the region after a period of isolation and heightened security tensions.
