French President Emmanuel Macron affirmed that France is ready to facilitate and host direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel.
He said: Everything must be done to prevent Lebanon from sliding into chaos, and Hezbollah must immediately stop its reckless escalation.
He added: Israel must refrain from carrying out a ground invasion and halt its airstrikes in Lebanon.
