The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation has predicted that tomorrow’s weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy, with fog over the highlands, and no significant change in temperatures. Light scattered rain is expected, along with some snow at altitudes of 1,700 meters and above. Weather conditions will gradually improve from the afternoon, turning partly cloudy at night, with cold temperatures at night and during the early morning hours. A warning has been issued for slippery conditions on internal and mountainous roads above 1,300 meters due to ice formation.

The bulletin states the following:

General situation: Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin are still under the influence of a low-pressure system accompanied by relatively cold air masses centered north of Egypt, leading to variable and sometimes heavy rainy weather with thunderstorms and active winds. Its effects are expected to continue until tomorrow afternoon, Monday, when it will gradually weaken and the weather will stabilize.

Temperatures are expected to rise on Tuesday and exceed seasonal averages on Wednesday.

Note: The average March temperatures are 13–22°C in Beirut, 11–20°C in Tripoli, and 6–17°C in Zahle.

Expected weather in Lebanon:

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with dense fog over the highlands, sometimes reducing visibility. Temperatures will drop noticeably below seasonal averages. Scattered rain will fall, occasionally heavy with thunderstorms, especially in southern regions. Winds will be active, reaching up to 70 km/h, raising sea waves. Snow is expected at 1,600 meters and above. Rainfall intensity will decrease during the night.

Monday: Cloudy to partly cloudy with fog over the highlands and no significant temperature changes. Light scattered rain is expected with some snow at altitudes of 1,700 meters and above. Weather will gradually improve from the afternoon and turn partly cloudy at night, with cold conditions at night and during the early morning hours. Warning issued for slippery conditions on internal and mountainous roads above 1,300 meters due to ice.

Tuesday: Mostly partly cloudy with high clouds. Temperatures will rise, especially inland and in the highlands, reaching seasonal averages, while humidity decreases.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with high clouds. Noticeable temperature rise is expected, exceeding seasonal averages, with low humidity. Light dust layers may appear, especially in southern areas. Humidity will increase at night, clouds will thicken, creating conditions for scattered and muddy rain.

Surface winds: Active southwesterly winds at 25–65 km/h
Visibility: Moderate on the coast, reduced in the highlands due to fog
