Rahi: No Room to Change Leaders During Fierce War
In his Sunday sermon, Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi said:
“In these difficult times, it is our responsibility to protect the state, its president, its army, and its leadership. A time of crisis is a time for defense, not for passing premature judgments; a time for trust, not for reprisal. All of them act with wisdom, courage, and deep understanding of the matters at hand, more than anyone else. They deserve our appreciation and encouragement, recognition of their efforts and sacrifices, and respect for their capabilities. In times of intense war, there is no place for changing leadership, as wisdom has taught us.”
