Israeli Army: Hezbollah Facilities Positioned in Civilian Areas

The Israeli army completed another wave of strikes yesterday (Saturday), targeting infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization across Lebanon.
As part of the operation, the Israeli Air Force struck several Hezbollah launch sites in the Qotrani area that the group’s operatives were preparing to use to carry out attacks in the near term.
In addition, command centers belonging to Hezbollah’s Radwan Force unit in Beirut were targeted and destroyed. According to the Israeli army, these sites were being used by operatives to advance plans for attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens.
Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, the Israeli army says it has been carrying out extensive strikes against Hezbollah command facilities, targeting the group’s command-and-control capabilities, its financial resources, and the weapons at its disposal.
The Israeli army also said Hezbollah systematically places its infrastructure within civilian populations in urban areas across Lebanon. As a result, the army says it has been urging residents to evacuate certain areas in order to protect them, adding that Hezbollah’s actions harm the Lebanese state and its citizens.
Before carrying out the strikes, the military said steps were taken to minimize the risk to civilians, including issuing advance warnings, using precision munitions, and conducting aerial surveillance.
The Israeli army added that it will continue to act forcefully against Hezbollah, which it says has chosen to join the fighting under the sponsorship of the Iranian regime, and will act against anyone who threatens the citizens of Israel, particularly residents of the northern region.
