Lebanese Army Seizes Captagon Production Equipment at Syrian Border
The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On April 12, 2025, following security monitoring and surveillance, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, seized a truck loaded with equipment for producing Captagon, along with raw materials used in drug manufacturing. All of this was prepared for smuggling from Syrian territory into Lebanese territory.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary, while efforts continue to apprehend those involved.
