President Aoun leads a series of meetings
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun afternoon received at Baabda Palace, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa.
Discussions reportedly focused on the situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Egypt and ways to develop them.
President Aoun also received Democratic Gathering bloc MP Akram Chehayeb, who said on emerging that the discussion touched on the general situation in the country, as well as on issues related to the mountains.
Aoun also received Democratic Gathering bloc MP Wael Abou Faour, who discussed with the President the general situation in the country, particularly following the visit of US Deputy Special Envoy to the Middle East Morgan Ortagus.
The President of the Republic also received a delegation from the family of the late Minister and MP Jean Obeid. The delegation invited President Aoun to attend the celebration, which will be held at the UNESCO Palace on May 29, to mark the publication of a book chronicling the life of the late Minister. Official and political figures will speak at the national event.
Among Baabda palace’s visitors for today had been former Minister and former MP Nehme Tohme and his wife Therese Attieh Tohme.
