US Deputy Envoy to the Middle East Morgan Ortagus began her visit to Beirut with a meeting at Baabda Palace with President Joseph Aoun.
After an hour and 20 minutes of consultations, Ortagus left Baabda without making any statements.
According to MTV, President Aoun told Ortagus that the Lebanese Army is fulfilling all its duties and coordinating with the committee overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire, in which the US is involved and is fully informed of all developments.
Baabda sources also told MTV that the meeting between President Aoun and Ortagus was very positive, with discussions covering Lebanon’s borders with Syria and Israel, as well as financial and economic reforms.
