Mahfoud: Be ready for the worst and for what lies ahead

In light of the serious information about the militia’s security and military activities, turning a blind eye is no longer acceptable, and inaction is no longer excusable. What is happening cannot be ignored; it is a deviation that threatens the state and the security of the Lebanese people, and could bring the entire structure crashing down on everyone’s heads if silence and hesitation continue.
To those in charge of the state: Do not believe Hezbollah when it promises not to return to war. It has made such pledges before, only to break them and cast its commitments aside. Those who lie in their pledges and go back on their promises should not be met with greater trust, but with accountability and decisive action.
Hezbollah is not an independent Lebanese decision-maker; it carries out the agenda of the Iranian regime and places Lebanon at the service of its calculations. Do not let it deceive you again, and do not give it another opportunity to drag the country into yet another catastrophe.
The course of action required is now clear: a decisive move to put an end to this lack of accountability before the cost of delay exceeds what anyone can bear.
Brace for the worst. When all else fails, drastic action is necessary. Let it be witnessed that we warned you.
