Fadlallah rejects claims of Iranian influence
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah rejected allegations that Iran dictates Hezbollah’s decisions, insisting the group acts independently.
Speaking at a memorial ceremony in Bint Jbeil, Fadlallah said Hezbollah’s priorities remained ending Israeli occupation, securing prisoners’ release, facilitating displaced residents’ return and advancing reconstruction.
He argued that discussions over Hezbollah’s weapons and state authority should take place through national dialogue after Israeli withdrawal.
Fadlallah praised the Lebanese Army’s role in safeguarding civil peace, accused political opponents of fueling divisions and claimed that negotiations with Israel had reached a dead end.
