President Aoun holds talks with Keserwan delegation
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received President of the Union of Keserwan-Ftouh Municipalities Elias Al-Baino, accompanied by a delegation of Keserwan lawmakers, at Baabda Palace.
Speaking after the meeting, Al-Baino said the delegation had reiterated the region’s demand for decentralized waste management, highlighting the Ghazir-area Ghosta waste treatment facility as a proposed solution supported by all municipalities in the region.
Discussions also addressed plans to widen the Nahr El-Kalb–Nahr Ibrahim highway and expand the road linking Zouk Mosbeh to Faraya.
Al-Baino said the delegation had received assurances of Aoun’s interest in these proposals and his willingness to follow up on them and support efforts to meet residents’ needs and advance development across Keserwan-Ftouh.
