Morcos meets SACEM delegation to discuss copyright, intellectual property protection
Information Minister Paul Morcos received in his office at the ministry SACEM Director General and CEO Cécile Rap-Veber, Director of Institutional Relations Blaise Mistler, Director of International Relations Caroline Champarnaud, Director of International Development Akotchayé Okio, and Head of Eastern Repertoire.
The meeting was attended by Lebanese composer Oussama Rahbani, president of the Council of Authors and Composers in Lebanon (CACL), and attorney Janette Azar.
Minister Morcos was briefed on the measures being taken by the company to strengthen the protection of authors’ rights in Lebanon, as part of efforts to safeguard intellectual property rights, as well as to enhance cooperation with the relevant Lebanese ministries, authors, composers, and music publishers in Lebanon.
Minister Morcos also received from Cécile and the accompanying delegation a commemorative plaque featuring a musical note.
